We’re delighted to share that HiiKER has been named Best in Test in the July 2026 issue of The Great Outdoors, the UK’s original mountain magazine, coming out ahead of OS Maps, MapOut, Topo GPS and a strong field of navigation apps.
The review was carried out by TGO contributor James Roddie, who tested the apps across the Scottish Highlands, Patagonia and the Balkans. He highlighted HiiKER’s wide range of topographic maps, the heavily customisable interface, and our customer support — and noted how far the app has come since TGO last reviewed it in 2023.
That last part matters most to us. A lot of what earned this result, the rebuilt route planning, the sharper map rendering, the modernised interface — came directly from your feedback. So this one’s shared with our HiiKER users!
